Ms. Kenzie is from the US and I've lived in different states before, all the way from Hawaii to New York and she has also lived in the UK and Hong Kong. She has a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of California, Irvine and she has experience teaching at the American public primary schools.
She has been teaching English in Hong Kong for the past 6-7 years. She has taught phonics (Letterland and Jolly Phonics), grammar, writing, interviewing, presentation and public speaking skills at a children language center before. All her students love her phonics techniques to improve their oral skills.
She worked in Corporate America at different global companies before coming to Hong Kong. So she is familiar with the business English language and the American/western work culture that her adult working students really enjoy learning! Besides English, she is also fluent in Chinese, both Cantonese and Mandarin. She has a degree in Linguistics and French and she has also studied some other languages such as Spanish, German and Japanese. So she has a good solid understanding of different languages and how to learn another language effectively. She has students at all ages from kindergarten to adult level of different backgrounds, from the local Hong Kong students, mainland Chinese to Japanese students, working on different language skills.
