The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) can test the language ability of people who want to study or work when English is the language of communication. It uses nine levels to clearly distinguish the English proficiency of non-users (level 1) to experts (level 9).
Which IELTS test is right for me?
There are two types of IELTS tests: IELTS academic and IELTS general training.
IELTS Academic is suitable for those who apply for higher education or professional registration in an English-speaking environment. It reflects certain characteristics of academic language and assesses whether you are ready to start learning or training.
The test is widely supported by institutions that recognize IELTS.
IELTS universal training
IELTS universal training is for those who intend to go to English-speaking countries to receive secondary education, work experience or training programs. This is also a requirement for immigration to Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
The test focuses on basic survival skills for a wide range of social and work.

The IELTS test can assess your listening, reading, writing and speaking skills in less than three hours.
There are two types of IELTS: academic and general training. The listening and speaking of the two exams are the same, but the topics of the reading and writing sections vary depending on the exams taken.
All the listening, reading and writing parts of the IELTS test are completed on the same day, and there is no break in between.
However, the oral part can be completed up to a week before or after other tests. Your test center will provide advice.
The total test time is 2 hours and 45 minutes.
