GESE- Graded Examinations in Spoken English


The GESE exam is suitable for people of all ages who wish to develop oral and listening English skills for daily communication, no matter what the purpose is: immigration, work, study, leisure or employment.



Exam mode


The GESE exam is a one-on-one, face-to-face assessment of English speaking and listening skills with Trinity examiners.
The examiner encourages candidates to show what they can do through prompts and real interactive dialogues.
The test time is 5-25 minutes, depending on the grade.

Trinity’s GESE A1-C2 exams have been awarded the ALTE Q mark by the European Association of Language Testers, indicating that they meet the most stringent quality standards.

There are 12 levels of GESE: Grades 1-12 (CEFR levels before A1-C2).
The GESE exams are grouped by stages of development, providing a gradual framework for the development of English language proficiency and an assessment for each student.
